Hi,

2 quick messages:

1) Has anyone got a copy of the latest X-files video (file 5)
It would be a really cool idea to show this as a video evening before
it is shown on the telly (hint hint).

2) FOX video are going to release the *entire* first season on video
in the form of a 5-video boxed set. It contains extra interviews with
the cast and creators and is strictly limited edition. Only 40,000
copies will be released in the UK (not a lot when you think of the huge
audience the Xfiles has, i.e. 8 - 9 million). This boxed set costs 80quid
and will be released on 4th November. However you can reserve a copy
in advance at WH Smith in Staines.

Does anyone else think it would be a good idea if IFIS bought a copy of
this out of its social fund. It would certainly allow a lot of video
evenings, plus we could lend it out to members on some sort of loan basis
(perhaps with a deposit since it's worth quite a bit).

I would agree with you. We could probably get the 80quid back in money
from video evenings.

You could keep it with the IFIS library in the union, when (if) they
get us some lockable cuboards.

Do you really think you are going to get some lockable cupboards from the
union! We ask for such things other 10 years ago and got nowhere.
