The answer is yes, the
library will be open between 3.30 and 5pm,
through the door to the right of the Box Office in the SU.
Alternatively, if you can't make it in person, send me any requests
(s.dismukes@). If you're borrowing books I also need you NUS
card number or your address, so's I can find you if you don't return
them.
Surely you want NUS card number *and* address.
Prior to this, the people borrowing books have been such a select band that
we have *known* who they are and been able to check them out by familiarity.
If our new chairman succeeds on his great publicity drive, then we may end
up with some unfamiliar faces :-)
Presumably we should have a list of members in the
library so that the
librarian can check up to ensure someone is a current member. You will then
want to use their Union card to check their identity against the list of
members. The address needs to be recorded so that people with overdue books
can be chased up. Having department *and* room number/ off campus address
recorded is a good idea, as that will make the chasing easier.
Later,
Steve :-)
