Ok, once again, KEVIN AND I WILL BE SEEING DAN BROWN ON FRIDAY TO DISCUSS
THE
LIBRARY!!! At the moment, access is restricted (!!) i.e. no-one can
get in unless you fancy hassling the SU. I will tell everybody on the
mailing list what is happening either immediately after this meeting on
Friday or some time early next week. I know you are all getting pissed
off with this but I am doing my best to get this sorted out so please
please please can nobody else mention the
library unless you want to die
a rather painful and unpleasant death!!
I was going to bring the menu along on Thursday anyway, and is there any
more info. about the Rio Grande?
Bye, Bye
Jacquie
P.S. Most students who drink down the Ascot limit themselves the amount
they can spend, so yes we are poor and if you don't believe me, feel free
to ask my financial cirumstances!!
Humour Mode On: :-)
The books are a Myth - They do not exist - They are a rumour put about to lure
new students into joining every year ! Hands up those who have ever seen the
library much less borrowed a book ?
The Phil video
library on the other hand .....
Humour Mode Off

If current Students are so poor why do they continue to drink in the ascot
where drink and food is so expensive ? And to compund it Dave keeps changing
the machine ! I want the monopoly back !
Is the dinner realy necessary at what will be (in all lightlyhood) 15-20 a
throw ?
I work and begrudge paying more than about 8 for a meal - hence my regular
patronage of the east india. If we are concerned about money outlay should we
be trying to reduce the number of expensive activities ?
Ok, here we go again - I personally like the Xmas dinner as (according to
the feedback I recieved last year) do most of the members. For the Xmas
dinner, we always go for the "Xmas deal" or to restaurants like Red's
where they do a set price and you just pay for extras that you want as
when you want them. However, if the majority of the society do not want
to have a Xmas dinner then tell me tonight down the pub and I will cancel
all plans etc that have already been done and heave a big sigh of releif
that there is one less thing I have to organise!!
As for the
library, PLEASE SHUT UP ABOUT IT - I AM GETTING SICK OF
HEARING ABOUT IT, THANKYOU!!!

I think we all want an Xmas dinner, it is just a case of getting a majority
verdict of where people want to go and how much they want to spend. Hopefully
much of this can be sorttted tonight.

What other ents have been organised for this year so far ?
I have yet to see any list...

We just want the books ! We know how much the SU is pissing you about,
try suggesting Simon's idea about non-SU insurance and keeping the books at
his place at your meeting tomorrow.
