Oh pretty good really. It was very popular. We had difficulty finding
enough space for us all - we needed 2 tables really, and in the end
gave up trying to get 2 tables TOGETHER.
Quite a few cool videos. Captain Bob (the landlord) was away at a
convention or something, and it seems Manny (the guy who does the
videos) had a bit more freedom to show a bit more.
There seemed to be a fresh stock of exciting episodes over from
america. They even managed to find 2 episodes of voyager that just
about EVERYBODY liked! (voyager meets borg, voyager and borg meet a
species that craps on even the borg, voyager tries to make an alliance
with borg, and any more info might count as spoilers).
The doors on the loos seem to have been fitted with a sound-effects
box that makes those pneumatic door-noises when you open them. Quite a
laugh.
There was someone selling charicatures there. mugs, t-shirts,
beer-mats, mouse-mats, prints of various sizes, you gt the idea. It
seemed to be the same artist who did the postcard-piccies on the wall
in the gents. Luke and several other members bought a few prints,
including a learner-driver crashing the enterprise saucer-section, and
laa-laa-cutious of borg - "eh-oh is irrelevant". Apparently the artist
was also offering to draw a charicature of yourself, on the uniform of
your choice.
That's about it.
