Nerve Movie Night and Picocon!
Hey Everyone!
So this week is reading week for those subjects that have them. We will still be running events during this week, so never fear! We hope that those who have reading week enjoy themselves or find it productive. to those that don't, just make sure you have another good week.
We have our standard movie night this Tuesday (13/2) with the film in question being Nerve! Based on the novel by Jeanne Ryan, 'Nerve' revolves around Vee who partakes in an online objective Truth or Dare game, however the game begins to intensify as she continues to play. We will be over in ALT1, starting around 7pm. Afterwards, we will be going over to the beehive for the usual after social drinks and talks.
We also have an exciting trip this weekend. For those interested in Picocon this Saturday, the event kicks off at 10:30 at Imperial college. If you would like to join us, we will be getting the 0853 from Egham station. If you have a rail card, the train tickets will not be too expensive. Also, as a SciFi Society, we get a discounted entry (£8) to the convention itself! It will be a great day with several well known authors and a lot else to do besides. here is the link to the website if you want to have a look for yourself: https://www.union.ic.ac.uk/scc/icsf/picocon/. you can also ask a committee member for more info!
Hope you all have a good week!
