Free Comic Book Day/Shopping trip - May 2nd
For those of you who are fed up of revision and want a break, this Saturday (the 2nd of May) is Free Comic Book day - an event held every year where various participating stores around the world give away a selection of free comics. To take part in this, IFIS has for the past couple of years organised a combined shopping trip, tour and freebie gathering bonanza and we're planning on doing it again this year.

The plan is to catch the 8:53 train from Egham to London, so you ideally want to get there at least by 8:40 to make sure you have time to buy a ticket. We'll be heading to Forbidden Planet first and from there will do a tour of the other genre related shops that we're aware of. If there are any others people think we should visit whilst we're in that vicinity, let me know. Eventually we'll finish the tour/shopping and find somewhere to have lunch and compare loot.
So come along, it'll be fun! Plus you'll get a bunch of free comics and find out more about where you can go shopping for science fiction and fantasy stuff in London.
Chris
PS In case you're wondering what is happening with the usual Tuesday events, the committee have been focussing on revision so haven't had a chance to work out a plan yet. But watch this space for updates if and when this changes.
