Sooo... Anyone for animation? I hope so, because this week we shall be showing Titan A.E! It's a post-apocalytic Sci-Fi (!) film. The film combines traditional hand drawn animation with digital ink and paint. It also stars Matt Damon (Matt Daaaaammaaan), Bill Pullman, and Drew Barrimore, so there should be at least some mediocre acting on display to entertain everyone!
The actual plot centres around ayoung man that learns that he has to find a hidden earth ship, before an alien species does. In order to secure the survival of humanity. Obviously... But the film won the Golden Satellite award in 2001 (some kind of Press thing, apparently), and has been nominated for a Saturn award, so it should be enjoyable.
Afterwards, we'll be going to crosslands, as always, so make sure to come along, and have a few hours relaxation amid all of the revision. Also, on the topic of films, we'll be going to view Star Trek: Into Darkness this thursday, so make sure to RSVP on the IFIS website once the event goes up this saturday.
In other news, voting for the yearly titles is now up on the website, so make sure to go and ruins someone's year with silly title! And as always, remember to come to the thursday social at the Alma Mata.
