Help Phil Out: Sailing Ships in Space

An appeal to my sci fi loving friends: what's the earliest example of a
sailing ship in space you can think of? I know Star Fleet's The Skull
(1982 <technically 1980>) beats Doctor Who's Enlightenment race (1983)
but I very much suspect The Skull wasn't the first. Any offers?

Other later examples also gratefully received.
