Hello,

Love is in the air, dear friends, and as our next film coincides with
Valentine's Day, what better way to celebrate the manufactured, commercial
nightmare of "wuv" than by watching one of the most heartbreaking and
touching animated films of recent years? Up is a Disney/Pixar film about an
old widower who tethers thousands of balloons to his house and floats off
on a fantastical adventure to South America, accompanied by some cer-azy
companions. Also, it has talking dogs in it so it DEFINITELY IS sci-fi,
kthnx.

Afterwards we will be going down to the Stumble Inn, where IFIS
SPEED-DATING WILL COMMENCE. Nah, not really. Well, maybe.
Al Ma Ma Ta on Thursday at 7pm as usual, too.

Picocon 2012 is happening next Saturday, so please, please can you confirm
soon if you will be going on the event page here:
www.ifis.org.uk/events/20120218-Picocon.shtml We'll be subsidising
it for members, so you'll only be paying £1 each, which is a blimmin'
bargain. We'll be sending out an email on Thursday with information about
meeting up in Egham and going to Picocon en masse, so keep an eye out for
that.
