The Muppet Christmas Carol, Tuesday 6th December, 7pm, ALT 2
Ho ho ho!
It's that time of year again; Christmas is coming, the soylent green is
getting fat, please put a penny in the old mage's hat. To celebrate, we're
going to show The Muppet Christmas Carol (yes, we are, forget last year's
debacle). Michael Caine stars as Ebenezer Scrooge, Kermit the Frog as Bob
Cratchit and, oh, you know the rest, surely. There are Muppets and ghosts
(and ghost Muppets) galore, so come along and get in the festive mood.
Afterwards we'll be going to the Stumble Inn, so the merriment can
continue. Or something.
Our Christmas dinner is also taking place at the Al Ma Ma Ta on Thursday,
so just to ask those of you who have filled in your menu choices on the
poll and confirmed attendance to bring down the money on the Thursday, as
there's no need to pre-pay. However, IFIS will still have our Thursday pub
meets throughout the vacation period, so if you're stuck in Egham then feel
free to come down to the Al Ma Ma Ta and say hello.
Have a nice break, and Merry Xmas!
Mohamed
(IFIS President 2011-2012)
P.S. For those of you wondering about the prospective London trip to
various SF and comic shops, this has been postponed to some time next term
due to a hideous lack of foresight and planning on my part. Whoops. We can
go for the sales instead, perhaps. Sorry!
