Sensibly quoting fractions of messages is good, and aids the reader.
I can draw attention to your use of the words "large" and "entirety", and thus
better justify my quoting of the above.
I don't like massive quoting (especially of complete messages), but I think
it's self-regulating, because then nobody can be bothered reading it, and the
stupid person's views get ignored.
And they get a reputation for being stupid.
