Jekyll, Tuesday 22nd February, 7pm, ALT2
Hi guys,
Firstly, welcome back to those of you who were lucky enough to have had a
reading week. We had fun at the Picocon event at Imperial College on
Saturday, where we held our title as London's fish-dueling champions for a
second year running! (Check out the website for more pictures! -
www.ifis.org.uk/events/20110219-Picocon%2028.shtml )
We have a treat in store for you all; the 2007 modern re-working of Dr
Jekyll and Mr Hyde, created by the masterful Steven Moffat, who you may
recall brought us the modern Sherlock Holmes, and the latest series of
Doctor Who.
James Nesbitt plays Dr Tom Jackman, a father of two, whose life is shattered
by the terrifying transformations he undergoes, becoming his primal, violent
alter-ego, Hyde.
We're going to try and squeeze in the first three episodes, so we'll be
starting at 7pm sharp(ish), so we'll see you in the Arts Lobby, as usual,
beforehand. And, as usual, we will be going to the pub... afterhand.
Also, don't forget that our elections are coming up soon: if you'd maybe
like to stand for the role of President, Secretary, Treasurer or Librarian,
now's the time to start thinking about it!
You could try canvassing for votes at our weekly Thursday social at the Al
Ma Ma Ta pub near the station, perhaps!
See you soon,
Mohamed
