Firstly can I make one point clear: I believe that you should be allowed
to put whatever you want, within the boundaries of taste and deceny
(please wait whilst I look those words up in a dictionary...), on to the
ifis mailing list.
Now in complete contradiction to that above statement can I make a
complaint. Owing to techinical difficulties and lack of time I have not
been reading my e-mail too much recently, therefore on loading this
evening I found a whole stack of messages with which you will be
famililar (no this is not the complaint!). Anyway after wading through
all these messages the one thing that struck me was how many of the
messages spent a long time merely quoting back large parts of, and even
in entirety, other peoples messages (I think that last sentence makes
sense, well nearly...), this is exceedingly tedious, as most people can
actually read other messages, and in addition any good points that you
are making get lost in tedium (and get deleted unread if people are
really bored), so please could you stop doing this, and just refer to
the message by sender name and date/ time, or some other method such as
this, and not force us to read the same thing two or three times over
(as is you are nearly having to do with this complaint- sorry!)
Thanks Jonathon (Gamesoc chairman, not that this is appropriate owing to
this being the ifis mailing list)
P.S If I find part of this message in any other messages I may be forced
to start hiring chainsaws
P.P.S Yes I am feeling pretty weird at the moment
to put whatever you want, within the boundaries of taste and deceny
(please wait whilst I look those words up in a dictionary...), on to the
ifis mailing list.
