Kick-Ass, Tuesday 25th January 2011, 7pm, ALT 2
Evenin' all,
This week we're showing the 2010 comic book movie Kick-Ass, starring Aaron
Johnson as the titular wannabe vigilante. The film will be all the better
this week, because we've actually been given a room by the Student's Union
on high. All hail, the mighty SU!
Here is the blurb from the delicious one-disk DVD - "When Dave Lizewski, an
ordinary teenager, sets about trying to become the no-power vigilante
Kick-Ass, he soon discovers that he's not alone/ But he's out of his depth -
a fearless and highly trained father-daughter crime-fighting duo, Big Daddy
and Hit Girl, have declared war on New York mafioso, Frank D'Amico. As
Kick-Ass and his new found friend, Red Mist, get drawn into their
no-holds-barred world of bullets and blood, the stage is set for a final
showdown - in which the DIY hero will have to live up to his name... or die
trying."
After the sweary, violent goodness is over, we'll head to the Stumble Inn.
In the meantime, have a pleasant existence, and see you tomorrow.
