Hi all,
Hope you've been enjoying the break and various festivities.
Imperial College London run a small convention each year, called (funnily
enough) Picocon. IFIS have attended in previous years, and by all accounts it is
an enjoyable and delightfully silly experience. This year it is on the 19th of
February - so a date to pencil in your diary if you're interested. We would like
to know in advance if people are coming as we can then claim an entrance
discount. The tickets have previously been paid for by the society.
Someone will enthuse at you about this soon. Don't say I didn't warn you.
For more details see:

www.ifis.org.uk/events/20110219-Picocon%2028.shtml
Details for our first film of term should be floating in your direction soon.
But rooms booking haven't even opened yet. For now, assume meet in arts foyer at
the same time.
Peace and long life.
