try shooting that before it hits your hospital etc !!!!

I remember my basic physics - V2 accerate toward the earth cos' of
gravity. A damage fighther in space isn't going to suddenly accerate.
By the way, most modern air defense system could easily hit a V2 well
before they get anywhere near their targets - in the gulf war the
SCUD are very similar to V2, the only problem was that the missile
the Americans used was designed to take out aircraft by an airburst
explosion - not that useful agaisnt a missile.
It did make a very good scence though...

After a lot of waffling, you seem to come to the conclusion thatyou have figthers, transports and carriers - you would also need
point defence ships - destroyers and frigates, much like today's
fleet. Are yo agreeing with me - could tell?
It would take much for the situation to be reversed, give the cruisers
the weaponary to defend itself against figthers and other ships and
your back to the big ship navals. but we don't see this, ships in SF just
don't survive attacks.
