Firefly, Tuesday 19th October, 7pm, ALT 1
Hello everyone!
This week we are watching the first two episodes of Joss Whedon's acclaimed outer space Western, Firefly: "Serenity" and "The Train Job".
Nathan Fillion plays Malcolm Reynolds, captain of the spaceship Firefly, who leads a rag tag crew across a distant solar system in the 26th century.
The show sparkles with Whedon's trademark wit and energy, and doesn't afraid of anything.
After Firefly, we will be leaving ALT1 and heading to the Stumble Inn to socialise and consume beverages. But if you need to scoot off early after the film, then there's also our social on Thursdays at the Al Ma Ma Ta pub near Egham station.
Also, it'd be really helpful if those of you who've paid already could give us their NUS and Student Activities Memberships numbers, as we need to send a list to the SU soon. And if you haven't yet paid, we'll be taking your membership details etc in the Arts building lobby before the screening, and afterwards at the pub.
Until Tuesday, happy times and places.
