Hi all,
Sorry for the late notice - We've been waiting for a response from the SU. We're meant to be in ABF1 again tomorrow, but will check if ALT3 is free. There won't be any problems with being moved at 2100 this week, as Wrath of Khan is less than 2 hours long. So we'll meet in the foyer at 1900 again. We would like to start collecting people's membership money, so make sure you have Student Activities Insurance on your NUS card and bring along £7. We shall do the rest.

Buuut... I'm no longer a student.
So I can't have Student Activities Insurance... so what do I do?
I don't want to be mooching off the rest of you.

But I have that, I have the card...
So, what, I just need to get the insurance thing then? Damn sticker, how can it cost £7 (or however much), was £3 only seven years ago. Inflation hasn't been that high!

Go to the Student Activities office between 12-4pm on any weekday (it's up the stairs in the SU, above Tommy's Bar). Show them your SU card, fill out a form with your GP information and home address and give them the appropriate amount of money and they'll give you a sticker. Simple.

Yeah, I know.... thankyou.
I just mean it's annoying having to do this thing. They weren't really bothered about it a few years ago!

Er...they've been bothered about it since Judith was president. That's why
I'm on my 5th sticker (you get a shiny different coloured sticker each year
*woot*)
And get the 3 year deal which costs 25 quid. You still need to get the
sticker each year, but it saves you some money and if they raise the prices
it saves you even more.

Well, no-one made a big deal out of "you must have events insurance!" a few years ago, that I remember.

£7x3 years is £21, so I don't see how it'd save me money.
Or are you talking about two things here?

That's because the membership to /
ifis/ is £7 for the year. Chris is talking about SAM.
Not the society membership.
