Hi all,
During Freshers' Fayre, I was reminded of the radio slots available to every society this year. They can be weekly, monthly or termly. I doubt we'd be able to do one weekly as we're all busy people, but thought maybe we might be able to use one more occassionally. I don;t think it would be a lot of work - we can just use it as a space to air things we do anyway. For example, we could read fanfiction - I was assured this was fine. My other idea was to play Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of the War of the Worlds in its entirity, but I don;t think that's particularly representative. Anyway, let me know if you'd be willing to read a fanfic on air, or if you'd be willing to have yours read - you don't have to readyour own. Equally if you have any other ideas. I've been told I can fill out a form in a vague way, then drop out, but we can's opt in after the due date, which is next tuesday. So if I put one in then plans can change due to enthusiastic freshers
or whatever.
So, give me your spiel... :)

How about a show with music of a sci-fi theme, I.e. The Beastie Boys - Intergalactic, some Holst, David Bowie etc. We could fill a one off one hour slot with that, and maybe expand it monthly.

You should definitely play Chameleon Circuit if that's the case, Mohammed.
I didn't think Mohamed liked Chameleon Circuit.
Or is that the point? ;)

Music is good. And there is much of it.
I mean, we could always combine ideas.
The more difficult question is who would be willing to contribute.

Undoubtably too late to sort out for this year, but I was wondering what
people thought about the idea of us doing a radio play?
We could write it and record it this year for maybe next year?

Radio play?
"Damn my fabulous ACT-ING talent!"
... anyway, that would be fun. What did you have in mind?

Flick,
I am planning to do a radio show with some friends called Egham Island
Discs. You guys are welcome to mix it up with our show. Also have David
Morissey booked to be interviewed about working with David Tennent on
'The Next Doctor' christmas special. So maybe it could be done as a tie
in on my show. Assuming i get an afternoon or evening slot (wont do
mornings).

Sounds like a good idea to me!
As expressed before, I'd be interested in doing a slot but I don't want to be lonely so if anyone fancies doing a slot with me then that'd be cool. Don't worry Flick I know you're too busy! xP
I'm free on most weekends, Tuesdays(not the evening, obviously) and Mondays.

Yeah it is. Adam, I expected better of you.

I can only claim in my defence that Asan was simply quicker off the mark and got to your slot before I could. ;)
