A guide for Lifers on getting Societies insurance
Hi all,
Martin (the secretary) has asked me to pass on my experiences on how to
obtain the new societies insurance aka the Student Activities Membership.
Although most of you are probably wondering what on Earth I'm talking about.
The SU has always required people to get insurance when they joined clubs,
but recently they've changed their policies to also require it when you join
societies as well. And obviously this includes IFIS if you intend on
re-joining this year to take part in any of the many activities organised.
There is bizzarely, no information about this on the SU website, though. But
I have managed to find out that it's possible to obtain it without having to
go to the SU in person. You can do it by post if you email
georgina@, who can send you the form etc...
It costs 6UKP for 1 year or 15UKP for 3.
