dress code and requested that she wears the uniform.Hmm... If I remember rightly (and that is a big if, because I stopped
paying too much attention to ST:TNG ever since Tasha got killed off), it
all started when Picard went on that mission somewhere within Cardassian
empire. Apparently, he was away for a few episodes (please forgive my
very sketchy memory of that time period), and someone else commanded the
Enterprise for those few empisodes. This other captain (I forget the
name - but the name Shelby comes to mind, for some reason - not sure.
Somebody correct me please) strongly objected to But, when Picard
came back, it all came back to normal... It was captain Jellicoe. Picard was off on a sabotage type secret mission and getting captured by the cardassians.

I dislike that fact Nelix can't wear a uniform - this is pure

They give it criminal, rebels, in fact any old homo-spapiens they
meet.
But not to Nelix... I think this reflects the Americans very well.
What difference does it make. Neelix is probably the most annoying
character in ST to ever appear (in any of the
series/films/books/etc...).

I always thought that Troi was irritating. Mainly because of the way she
would offer such tactically useless advice such as "I'm not sensing any
anger from them Captain..." just before the Romulan ship opens fire with
a hideous array of weapons.
Yes, that was so typical of her...
Her and that strange woman they found to replace Dr. Crusher.
Dr. Polaski. Yes, I suppose she wasn't an adequate replacement...
Actually, come to think of it, didn't it take two or three seasons
before they gave Troi a uniform?
Troi's more relaxed

outfits, when she got involved with Worf...
