Hello Everyone,
Next week's film will be 'Terminator' (see website for film poster)
A cyborg is sent from the future on a deadly mission. He has to kill
Sarah Connor, a young woman whose life will have a great significance in
years to come. Sarah has only one protector - Kyle Reese - also sent
from the future. The Terminator uses his exceptional intelligence and
strength to find Sarah, but is there any way to stop the seemingly
indestructible cyborg ?
The Date: Tuesday, 24th October 2006
The Time: 7 pm
The Venue: Arts Lecture Theatre 1
See you there!

In other news: The chatlines problem has now been fixed in the following
way- all new members have been removed from ifischat, so you should only
receive e-mails from myself and the rest of my committee. There is
however a forum set up on the su.rhul bulletin board for Sci-fi related
conversations. It does mean that hopefully the flooding of inboxes
problem should no longer occur. For all of our old members, myself
included, we are all still on chat. However anything you send to me, for
me, should be sent to my own e-mail address J.A.Ratcliffe@ or
committee@
Also, the (In some way Pirate related) Scavenger Hunt (which I asked you
about at our last meeting) will take place on Saturday, 18th November
(which I think is Week 7) in and around central London from 10am- 3pm.
More details to follow shortly- Watch this space. And if you can confirm
that you will be attending this event that would be fantastic!
Notes from the GM last night include that I asked Rob about that back
gate for you.
I was informed that Rob Covenay, President of the Students Union is
currently involved in talks with College about the hour at which the
back gate is going to close- at the moment it is still open to its
original times - as I understand it that is from 5 am till 00.45 am, but
pending further discussions with residents etc. it may close earlier-
Rob said that in the middle of next week or the week after, we should
know one way or the other. So watch your e-mails and either he will send
one round or I will let you know what is happening about that.
I have been informed that I must tell those of you who do not know,
about ADMISSION IMPOSSIBLE- if you have not seen flyers around campus
and would like more information, please let me know and I will supply
it.

------------------------------------------------------------------
I think that's all for now, if there is anything else that I have
forgotten, please let me know and I will see what I can do for you.
Also if there is anything you want me to take issue with the SU about at
the next GM, let me know because ultimately I'm here to represent you
guys!
All the Best and have a good week!
Judith Ratcliffe, President of IFIS.
