Next week's film

Hello everyone,

On account of last week's power cut we will be showing A New Hope: Star
Wars IV this week instead, Tuesday, 17th October, 2006 at 7PM, ALT 1.
Hope that's okay.

Following this week, all should be back to normal


Just one more thing though, from the Students Union- do you want IFIS
to pay three pounds towards a new magazine- The Score, so that we can
write articles for it- it is meant to be a magazine for all societies.
Is the new magazine really necessary? We do already have the Orbital
and IFIS has its own magazine anyway- what do you think?

Speaking as a member of the Orbital board, we are always looking for new
articles from societies. As you may have noticed, our socs section is
nearly always used by BOOTS and whatever society has been on a trip
abroad recently. IFIS could do an article on what we do, and why we love
it! Meanwhile, our Books section will accept articles on sci-fi and
fantasy books, and our Film section with films.

As much as I would love to offer my own section for use, a travel guide
to Middle Earth or 'the top 10 space stations in Andromeda' won't be
taken seriously. The Forest Moon of Endor...that's a different matter
(as parts were filmed in Windsor Great Park. Rumours that the Wookies
were Holloway students on a picnic have not yet been verified).
