Science Fiction Session, 26th June 2006
[forwarded]
Dear IFIS Members,
I'm a postgraduate student in the English Department at Royal Holloway,
writing a thesis on science fiction. Under the auspices of the English
Research Forum for Postgraduates, I'm organising a session on SF with he
loose theme 'Boundaries of Science Fiction', to be held in the
International Building room 048 on Monday 26th June, starting 1pm,
finishing around 4pm.
The session will include short academic papers on science fiction as
well as presentations of creative work, and we're hoping to get some
good discussion going! It should be a mix of postgraduates,
undergraduates, and maybe some staff (basically everyone is welcome) -
but it will be a relatively informal session with lots of time for
discussion. If there's a lot of interest, we may also organise further
sessions on science fiction next year.
I'd appreciate it if you could pass on these details to your members,
and I hope to see some of you there! Any queries please get in touch
with me at Ria_Cheyne@
Thanks!
