So...just to get an idea of numbers, how many people would be interested in
an
IFIS xmas dinner if one could be organised? I'm thinking Cafe Picolo
(the italian next door to Tescos)

I'm not sure if this would be open to non-members yet or how it would work
with such as the best way for the society to do this, is to pay for it with
the social fund (of which I imagine there is a lot still) and then charge
members.
Which apparently is something the SU like - they like socities putting money
into their accounts. Whether it's more than they took out for the event,
they don't seem to care though *boggle*

Philosopy: unintelligible answers to insoluble problems.
Further to my previous email, I've gone and got a copy of the menu:
Starters:
Wild mushroom soup
Smoked salmon with mascarpone, rocket leaves and salsa verde
Potato dumplings, parma ham, gorgonzola cream
Salad
Main:
Fillet steak in a peppercorn, cream brandy sauce
Duck breast in a orange grand and marnier sauce
Seabass with garlic, white wine, fresh lime and rosemary
Lamb shank cooked in red wine with root veggies
Penne pesto
Dessert:
Chocolate fudge cake
Fruit salad with icecream or cream
Tiramisu
Coffee
The cost for the meal is going to be 10quid per member.
I'm going to try booking it today for Wednesday the 7th (December) for 8pm
or at least for one of the days during that week - term finishes the week
after.
So do we have a confirmed date yet?

Cool. Not hassling or anything - I'm just starting to get a little booked up
and need to make sure I attend the right things :-)
