[More...]Don't Panic! We're celebrating Towel Day (a day earlier but...yeah), inspired by the reference in his most popular work: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. We're planning to honour Douglas Adams' fantastic novel by watching an adaption (in some shape or form, TBC), but the important thing is to bring a towel! Whoever brings a towel gets a little reward for their effort!

[More...]We're gonna go back in time to 1968 and witness one of the most influential science fiction/fantasy films of all time! Directed by Stanley Kubrick who wrote the screenplay with Arthur C. Clarke, 2001 depicts mankind's venture into the unknown brought by the appearance of mysterious monoliths throughout time and space. Filled with breathtaking models and a great selection of classical music, this is an escape into the movie history!Note that due to the long runtime of the film (2-1/2 hours) we would like to start fairly promptly so make sure you've arrived by 7PM.(Further note, we will be watching this of the 50th anniversary of the UK premier of the film).

[More...]The first Saturday after Star Wars day is Free Comic Book Day! We're planning to take a trip to the Forbidden Planet store in London to pick up our free comic books! (and whatever else we may want to buy). We may also have a little peak around the other shops that are also offering free stuff, so come along and happy hunting!
