Welcome back to Term 3! We know that Exam Season is upon us (insert 'Imperial March' here); but if you'd like a nice quiet drink and chat about the Easter holidays, as well as anything science fiction/fantasy related, then come along to our pub social for a catch-up and break from revision.

For those that want to come see what we've got, our Librarian will be in the Boiler house Foyer at 6.30pm.

Royal Holloway is closed over the Easter period.

This day is celebrated as the Fall of Sauron. As of 2003 that day is known as Tolkien Reading Day, an event to encourage the use of Tolkien's works in education and library reading groups.

This is the last movie of the term, and we honestly have no idea what we're gonna do for it. We'll take any suggestions (even the bad ones)...

A lot of great movies have been brought to us from the House of Mouse, so we're gonna watch a Disney Movie! Whether it's an animated classic from our childhood, or a live action musical, or something from the properties that they've spent billions acquiring; get ready to relive the magic all over again!

We're doing another collaboration with Anime & Manga Society; and we've decided to try out a relatively new film that isn't Studio Ghibli! 'Your Name' follows the story of Taki and Mitsuha who both long for something more in their lives, but soon they begin to switch bodies! As they try to figure out what's happened to them, they realise that they need to work together to avert an incoming catastrophe!

Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, time travel, and Writer/Director Rian Johnson - what more could you ask for? 'Looper' follows the story of Joe, in 2044, whose job is to execute victims sent back through time. However, when his future self travels back and escapes, it's up to Joe to fix things before he and/or his future self are killed.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand with their eighteenth installment: Black Panther. King T'Challa returns to Wakanda, but finds himself under attack from multiple threats - and must team up with the CIA to prevent a world war.We're planning to watch the 3:10pm showing of Black Panther at Vue Cinema, Staines. There are great movies, but sometimes there are movie that are so bad that they become the greatest of movies themselves! We're planning to spend the night by watching a 'So Bad It's Good' Science Fiction-Fantasy Movie. Bring along any suggestions, and be prepared to laugh, groan and cry in what should be a very interesting night...

It's a bird, it's a plane, NO! It's our Superhero Movie Night! We're living in the golden age of superhero movies right now, and what better way to celebrate it than with a movie, about superheroes!! Bring your favourites along and we'll vote on the one we want to watch!

Our friends at Imperial College London are hosting their annual Science Fiction-Fantasy convention!
