A lot of great movies have been brought to us from the House of Mouse, so we're gonna watch a Disney Movie! Whether it's an animated classic from our childhood, or a live action musical, or something from the properties that they've spent billions acquiring; get ready to relive the magic all over again!

We're doing another collaboration with Anime & Manga Society; and we've decided to try out a relatively new film that isn't Studio Ghibli! 'Your Name' follows the story of Taki and Mitsuha who both long for something more in their lives, but soon they begin to switch bodies! As they try to figure out what's happened to them, they realise that they need to work together to avert an incoming catastrophe!

Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, time travel, and Writer/Director Rian Johnson - what more could you ask for? 'Looper' follows the story of Joe, in 2044, whose job is to execute victims sent back through time. However, when his future self travels back and escapes, it's up to Joe to fix things before he and/or his future self are killed.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand with their eighteenth installment: Black Panther. King T'Challa returns to Wakanda, but finds himself under attack from multiple threats - and must team up with the CIA to prevent a world war.We're planning to watch the 3:10pm showing of Black Panther at Vue Cinema, Staines. There are great movies, but sometimes there are movie that are so bad that they become the greatest of movies themselves! We're planning to spend the night by watching a 'So Bad It's Good' Science Fiction-Fantasy Movie. Bring along any suggestions, and be prepared to laugh, groan and cry in what should be a very interesting night...

It's a bird, it's a plane, NO! It's our Superhero Movie Night! We're living in the golden age of superhero movies right now, and what better way to celebrate it than with a movie, about superheroes!! Bring your favourites along and we'll vote on the one we want to watch!

Our friends at Imperial College London are hosting their annual Science Fiction-Fantasy convention! Their panel includes authors Paul Stewart, Chris Riddell, Emma Newman and Ben Aaronovitch; and features Turkey Readings, Destruction of Dodgy Merchandise, Silly Games, a Pub Quiz and Harmless Fun that is definitely NOT a fish duel!More details can be found here: https://www.union.ic.ac.uk/scc/icsf/picocon/Details on how we'll travel there will be posted later.

We all enjoy video games, but this one may take it beyond your expectations. Based on the novel by Jeanne Ryan, 'Nerve' revolves around Vee who partakes in an online objective Truth or Dare game, however the game begins to intensify as she continues to play. Get ready to play...

We have a new exciting event to announce. This Thursday, we are teaming up with our friends over at the Humans vs Zombies society for a movie night! The movie in question will be Hot Fuzz. If you want to find out more about HvZ or just want to come along to watch a great movie, than this is the event for you!

Be prepared to travel through space with Christoper Nolan's science fiction epic: 'Interstellar'. Set in a dystopian future where humanity is struggling to survive, the film follows a group of astronauts who travel through a wormhole in search of a new home for humanity. Considered to be one of the most ambitious films ever made, this is something not to miss! (Please note that due to the run-time of this film, we will need to begin quite promptly if we're to avoid the projector shutting off)

Unfortunately, due to the room being locked and dodgy doors, we will be cancelling our Lord Of The Rings Movie Marathon for today. We are planning to reschedule this event at some point in Term 3. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Our last Studio Ghibli collab night with Anime & Manga Soc went so well last year, that we both decided that we wanted to do another one! A selection of Ghibli movies will be brought before you, and you'll have the chance to vote for which one you want to watch.There will also be a separate vote as to whether you would like it subbed or dubbed.

We're opening the floor to our members! Bring any Science Fiction-Fantasy film along, briefly justify your film and why we should watch it, then we'll take an informal vote. Something familiar or a secret treasure that no-one knows, it's all on you!
