Robin Hobb is doing a brief book signing stint at our local Waterstones in Staines on the 10th of July from 11.30am to 12.30pm. Unfortunately that is a Friday, but I imagine there are likely to be some of us who work/live nearby that can benefit from this.

Basically this is just a fond farewell and a way to use up some of the social fund that you all contributed to this year thanks. Also the student union (SU) messed up and accidently gave us and extra 70 quid in our social so we should probably drink/eat that away.

Well, not quite everything, but certainly the conclusion to several things we started watching this year, but never got around to finishing yet. So we'll be watching the last 3 episodes of The Lost Room and the end of Hitchhikers too.

It'll be the day after the summer ball so everyone will be tired and probably not waking up until after midday. Probably you'll be unsure what to do with yourself. Fear not, for your friends at The Institute For Impure Science (IFIS) have booked a lecture theatre and will be showing you one of the most overlooked trilogies of recent years: Jurassic park, aka jeff Goldbloom vs raptors :D

Deep Blue Sea is kind of like Jaws on steroids, featuring Saffron Burrows, Samuel L Jackson and more than two fish.

This happens every year on the 25th of May as a tribute to the late Douglas Adams. As a reference to the awesome Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, fans carry with them a towel in his honour. Do you know where your towel is?
