An event hosted by IFIS, RHUL Science Fiction and Fantasy society.
Hey all! Sorry for the late email, but I have been busy trying not to fail my 4! (And that's not a factorial, to any of the mathematically inclined amongst you) exams this week, and have therefore been rather busy...
But anyway, this weeks film will be Equilibrium. Set in a dystopia where those pesky emotions are outlawed, Christian Bale plays John Preston, a 'cleric' of the totalitarian government. As an enforcer of this regime, Johns interests are very much in upholding the rule of law. Nonetheless, one day he decides not to take his meds, and conquently begins feeling for the undergroung resitance movement that is still is constant war with the authorities.
After the film we will be heading to either celebrate newfound freedom from, or to console one's self ahead of more exams.
In other news, IFIS is considering setting up a trip to the MCM Con in london this weekend, and we'd appreciate some feedback on if you're all interested. So let either myself, Erin, Or Oliver know if you are, and watch this space!
