Avatar is a 3D movie with blue aliens. Unfortunately, Royal Holloway's lecture theatres are not equipped with REAL 3D technology yet, so we will have to watch it in (still frankly eye-popping) 2D.
In Avatar, a tough paraplegic space marine, Jake Sully (played by Sam Worthington), gets the chance to walk again as part of the revolutionary Avatar programme, in which his consciousness is transplanted into a giant blue alien. Jake must decide whether to to get embroiled in the lives of the Na'avi, the blue aliens that inhabit the lush jungle planet of Pandora.
