Just had a look at the trailer for Asimov's new movie, I, Robot, at

Wow, Asimov could sure write an action-packed
robots-run-amuck-and-kill-people cop story. Guess they had to wait
until now to film it since only now with CGI can we have convincing
swarms of robots scuttling around jumping out of shadows at our
heroes, who fortunately are heavily armed and can blow them to pieces
with shotguns.

I couldn't tell if any of the extras in the background of some of
those lab scenes might be Susan Calvin, anyone know if her character
was cut?

Later in the thread the following link was posted. This is the actress
playing Susan Calvin.

From dim memories, the books played much like an SF version of "Columbo".

You don't need a fast enough computer to guess that Will Smith is not
employed to play in an SF-Columbo movie.

There are swarms of Robots. They do pick people up and throw them down the
street.

It may not be a bad movie, but it's not a movie of an Asimov book.

We knew that already though, didn't we? They're hardly making a secret of
it.
