So here's another anti-email point, it isn't a valid form of communication
because it doesn't include the majority - rubbish!!!
No form of communication discribed so far does that, "at the pub", "AGMs" etc.
all leave out most people. Unless you go to every member in person, you will
never get your message to them all. The only pratical thing is to use as many
mediums as possible in the hope of generating a background noise of
announcements in the hope, all come in contact with it. The worse thing you can
do is the "Discuss it Monday, sort it out by Friday" type attitude, this gives
ex-students, busy students, lazy students, student who don't go to the pub,
students who are away, students who live off campus (I could go on)... no
change of having a say in the society.
The SU agree, thats why you have 2 weeks notices for AGMs etc.
