Although you're right - mine's Tom Baker - I think Troughton would be more
popular if there was more of his work still in existance. The stories that
remain - with the exception of Tomb of the Cybermen and the Ice Warriors - don't
generally represent Troughton at his best whereas Power of The Daleks, Faceless
Ones, Evil of the Daleks, Abominable Snowmen, Web of Fear and Fury from the Deep
are meant to represent the Troughton era. You'll still here older DW fans
celebrating the 5th (Monster) season which is very much still butchered.

I know. Thats the great tragedy about most early Who tho isn't it?
Imagine if we only had a handful of Tom Baker stories, like ooh, say
Creature from the Pit. Or even Season 18 as a whole, a very good season but
totally unrepresentative of the character of the Fourth Doctor just because
Baker was leaving and was depressed, and playing it very down beat.
