Being the knowledgeable and informed, not to mention
purchase-happy, bunch that you are, I feel that you are the ideal
people to turn to in my hour of need.
Fair enough not many of you know me that well, but I have trust
in your open-mindedness.
At the moment I am trying to write a dissetation (sp? I really
should get that clear some time soon...) about horror movies and
other unpleasant cinematic forms. One of the key texts on this
subject, recommended to me by no less than three lecturers &
most other works on the subject, is Kim Newman's book,
Nightmare Movies. Typically, my university does not have a copy in
its library (those who do know me will remember that I am not an
RHBNC student) and it has recently gone out of print.
I therefore turn to you, the estimable members of the Institiute
For Impure Science, in the hope that one amongst you will posses
a copy of this hallowed tome.
If any copy is extant I would wish to borrow for, if possible, a
not inconsiderable period (rather longer than university libraries
generally feel comfortable with) or, for the right price would be quite
willing to buy/hire it from its current guardian.
If anyone can help me in my quest I would ask you to mail your
