ULTRAVIOLET - whoops

Whoops,

Further reading of the forum on the official site says the videos are
already out in the UK, but still not available online. Has anyone seen
them for sale anywhere?

I will be carrying out a complete search video retailers in Reading this
Saturday...

Still no series 2 news except rumours of a one-off episode and talks with
FOX about a US version (NO!!!).

Nope, they speak American which is completely different (if one more Yank
tries to tell me the correct way to pronounce "schedule" they are going to
die a very horrible death).

Considering where you're based it looks like we'll be sending the societies
lawyer out to defend you on a Manslaughter charge in the near future then

I'm not sure the speech is the problem - apart from the fact that a Brit is
automatically the villain naturally - it's more they don't think the same.
I've got a few US friends and some of the stuff you have to explain to
them...... On the other hand UK TV usually goes down a storm in the US.

I'm just having nightmares over what they'll do to it. I've still not
recovered from their wholesale butchery of "Cracker" -> "Fitz".
(To be fair though, we did butcher "Married, with Children" when we tried to
copy it.)

That's a bit unfair. For a certain time of night, and a certain frame of
mind, it was actually quite good. South Park appears on the surface to be
very bad indeed, for example.
I don't know it. I gather it's some sort of comedy.

Of course the daughter in MWC also redeemed herself. Christina Applegate
started as the tantalising jail-bait in the TV series "Heart of The City",
and went on to do such wonders as "Don't tell Mom the Babysitter's dead"
and, of course, "Mars Attacks!"
On balance, yes. I think it's great. I'm only occasionally embarassed by:
a) The fact that Cally couldn't act.
b) The fact that no-one had noticed the large chunk of circuitry perched on
top of Gan's head before.
c) The fact that an alien civilisation capable of building space-ships, and
producing fully-adult test-tube babies in under three minutes should choose
to guard their gene pool with four lobotomised bouncers armed with sharp
sticks.

And now has her own prime-time comedy on NBC straight after "Friends" (it's
written/produced by the same team). It's called "Jesse" and is about a
single mother, training to be a nurse, in an on-off relationship with a
South American university art lecturer - divided opinions about it (ranging
from crap to OK) but for non-challenging viewing it's OK (plus it fills in
between "Friends" and "Frasier" on a Thursday night).

VC staines has them as well

Finally got hold of both UltraViolet tapes from MVC in Staines as
HMV in Reading wanted 16.49 each! (MVC was a more reasonable 12.99).

All I need now is to finish decorating the lounge so I can plug
the TV & video back in and actually watch them D'OH!
