x-files to end?

You may already know that moulder was intending to leave X-files after the
end of season 7. Scully has now said that, basically, she's not going to try
to do a series on her own...

I'm suprised people still haven't figured out the plot to
the X-Files. Mulder and Scully are part of a crack undercover
team targeted on covering up the governments experimentation
with alien technology.

It's the only explaination that fits the facts. Why else does
every piece of "evidence" get destroyed by the end of the
episode? There's always a convenient "fire", or some such,
typically with only S & M (has anyone else noticed the
significants of those initials?) actually even aware that the
evidence exists. Does no one else find this suspicious?

Here's hoping they'll come clean in the last episode.

(Whilst their at it they might also care to admit the truth
about Mulders sexuality...)

PS Yes Due South has cool music, but it isn't Mark Snow, and Diefenbaker was

Evidence: Mulder and Scully get something in the pilot but it gets
confiscated by the CSM and hidden in "the evidence room"

While we're on the subject - anyone know how much more Due South there is to
go ? I've heard the last 2 are cracking episodes ? (Phil's fave Due south

The last two episodes of Due South are excellent - very funny but with a
couple of twists at the end. Of course, one possible reason for them being
so good is that David Marciano (the original Ray) is in them and the
interaction between the two Rays is brilliant. What episode are you guys up
to? (The due south website is at http://www.duesouth.com if you want to
check).

P.S. Hollywood is starting the release the "End of the world" films now -
coming up in November is "End of Days" with Arnold Schwarzenegger all to do
with "the ultimate personification of evil is unleashed upon the world"

Oh yes, and Scream 3 is due out at the beginning of December.

What do you mean almost?
Somewhere on the archive you'll find someone (I don't know
who) saying that they only watch the arc epsiodes and ones they
heard specifically praised.
I'm probably generalising hugely,but.... most of us probably do
that simply because the rest of the show has become so samey
and we just want to know how it all ends.
The end has been on the horizon for a while now; ever since the
"Sons of CSM" plot with Agent Spender appeared there's been a
sense that the end could come at any minute and the writers have
been desperately throwing in twists to try and preserve their jobs.
They should quit now, while they still have some semblance of
dignity. If they try to carry on much longer they'll just alienate (no
pun intended) they're hard core fans, who are waiting for some sort
of resolution.

Isn't this a problem with pretty much every series. Can anyone think of any
that ended on a high and didn't progress to the point where they got fed up
or the ratings got so low (not necessarily a good guide?) they were canned?

Bab5 which, if i remember correctly, had a storyline planned in advance struck
me as one of the least cynical though even that IMO should have called it a
day before it ended. Would the speculation if for example Bab5 had ended early
(e.g. when the shadows/vorlons left) been better than what actually happened?
