I know it is a bit early to be organising video evenings, but I thought you
might be interested in this:

DVD Empire list the Blair Witch Project's release date (on DVD) as 22/10/99.
Allowing some time to import it, there is a possibility you could get it
shown before it's cinema release over here (29/10/99). That is assuming
anyone is willing to pre-order it on the strength of the hype.

(Incidentally Jacqui, as our US correspondant, have you seen it, and is it
any good?)

I haven't seen Blair Witch but everyone I know who has seen it says it's
good and recommends it to everyone in the entire world (although DO NOT SIT
AT OR NEAR THE FRONT if you go to see it in the cinema as nearly everyone
who did said they started suffering from motion sickness - it's not done in
the usual fashion). A lot of people couldn't figure out if it was fact or
fiction (kindly remember I'm talking about Americans here and not
intelligent people).

At some point I'll start going to the cinema again and let you know of any
other good films coming across the pond.

Blair Witch

Blair Witch Project is an awesome movie and definately
a must see. Beware, though, it is filmed as if it was
a home movie so the jiggling of the camera can make
you a bit 'sea sick'.
