In the interests of maximum choice (and being a trouble making b**&#$d),
I asked 'El Rio Grande' to fax me through their Chrismas menu. If
anyone else has any suggestions I could always ring up other restaurants
and ask them to fax through details. Anyway E.R.G. menu goes something
like this (disclaimer the fax is fairly bad quality so I make no apologies
for typo's):
Starter
Shrimp & Cheese Sante Fe Chillies
Deep-Fried Jalapeno peppers, stuffed with whole shrimp & cheese
Melon with port
Chilled Melon served with our ruby ERG Christmas Warmer
A Bowl of Mushroom Soup served with a dash of brandy & finished with
croutons and cream
Main Courses
Turkey & Cranberry Fajitas
Marinated fillets of prime turkey, chargrilled & served on
a scorching skillet, with peppers, onions & cranberries
accompanied by 4 dips & flour tortillas
8oz Chargrilled Sirloin Steak
Served plain or with or own christmas sauce of pink peppercorn,
cream & a dash of Jack Daniels, accompanied by French fries,
or jacket potato & a lightly tossed salad.
Aztec Salmon
Fillet of poached salmon, finished with cream & dill sauce,
accompanied by fries or baked potato & lighty tosed salad.
Mexican Roast Vegetable Pie
Roast Vegetables served in a lattice pastry with a cheese &
spicy tomato sauce, finished with salsa, mexican rice & salad.
Dessert
Christmas Cheese Cake
with mixed fruit & decorated with chocolate
Chocolate & Orange Mousse
finished with orange liqueur coulis
Hot Pecan Pie
with Ice-cream or cream
Freshly brewed coffee and mints

They also have a moderately good wine list, and if I recall correctly
they serve cocktails
