Hiya all,
Ok... his bit of news in from Planet's Riker's insurrection news (link
available from the IFIS website www.ifis.org.uk)

The story about Kate Mulgrew (Janeway) leaving Voyager is a fabrication
leaked from
somebody at Paramount in order to boost interest in the show. Long time
fans might
recall a similar story being leaked about Patrick Stewart at the end of
TNG series 3. Those
who've been paying close attention might also recall a story in the
National Enquirer a
few moths ago about "on-set tensions" between Kate Mulgrew and Jeri Ryan
(Seven of
Nine). The story was attributed to someone associated with the production
and was
undoubtedly another attempt to boost Voyager's ratings.

I would like to point out that Kate Mulgrew and official Paramount sources
obviously have
no involvement with this leaked information.

That would certainly boost interest. The death of Janeway episode would see
ratings go through the roof, and if they dragged her horrible death over
several episodes they could boost ratings further.

That's really mean - but also very true. But who would replace her? I
can't think of anyone who'd be any good. The Captains in general are boring
and very unlikeable - I think it's in the job description. The best captain
for a Starfleet ship would be a Borg, I think, or a slimeball. (Not that
I've got anything against captains).

I'm not convinced that the Daily Mail's critic was paying that close
attention to what he was watching. The error is on their part I spotted it
myself at the time.

The chair wouldn't be able to squeek like she does (do you know what I ,mean
about her squeeky voice?). Maybe the perfect combination of a chair with a
tribble sitting in it...? Of course, the tribbles would soon take over the
ship. That would probably be an improvement too - very quickly there
wouldn't be a need for any members of the crew at all, they could all be
replaced by tribbles.

Would that make for an interesting episode? The best so far, I think.

Tis true they should have more tribble episodes. I want to see a flashback
episode of the great Klingon - Tribble war. Excellent. Or just an episode

and tries (desperately) to look good, like all the captains before her have.

I wouldn't say its becasue they have got a women captain because seven of
nine would be good and get them home no problem. Its just that the women
happens to be Janeway. How she ever became a captain is beyond me.
