SCI FI CARTOON EPISODES : South Park, Simpsons Etc

Heya all,

Does anyone have the sci-fi episodes of south park and simpsons on video?
Since we have been lumbered with LECA for just this coming thursday, we're
holding off showing all the great moveise ( event horizon, deep impact etc)
until we get Main lecture theatre again, on the 12th).

so to give us a bit of a break from all the hollywood stuff,
we'd like to show some of the south park episodes like the one featuring
mecha-streisand etc.

So if anyone has a copy of these could we please borrow them to show on
thursday 5th november?

Excuse me, are tghese really great films?
Yes they were big box office movies but most of the people I know who've
seen them say they're crap.
If you wish I could give a list of truly great films. (in my opinion at
any rate. And in the opinion of people who bothered to watch them to the
end as well)

standard play videos.

This was a reference to the fact that there are some people who walked
out of the screening of one film last year and have since then
maintained that that film is crap. This contrasts with those who
bothered to stay with the film and who describe it as truly awesome.
Which is exactly as valid as yours or anyone elses.
And which I know there are quite a few people who do agree with me.
I don't think we should show only big name films, Hollywood crap pales
very quickly.
There are many other smaller films of vastly superior quality out there
that we could screen. For a recent example- Gataca.
I saw this over the weekend and was VERY impressed. It managed to be an
SF film which did not include even one explosion. Instead it
concentrated on having a plot and well drawn characters and a nice twist
in the tail. It also contrived to set the viewer thinking about the
consequences of genetically manipulating humanity. There had been no war
or anything like that but anyone naturally concieved was suddenly part
of an underclass who are forced to commit massive fraud to get any job
better than cleaner.

Brazil - slow to start as it is setting up so much that the film does
deal with but extremely well worth sitting through.

2001- A Space Oddyssey- not technically a small unheard of movie but one
of the great films of the century. It takes its own time to develop
things but most of its major sequences stay in the mind for a very long
time.

I have every Simpsons tape that Fox has released to video including "The
Springfield Files" which guest stars Mulder , Scully and Lenard Nemoy. I'll
bring it on thursday and you can use it if you want to.
