Peter Parker is a mild unassuming teenager who accidentally is given superpowers when he's bitten by a genetically modified spider at the company his father used to work for before he and his mother mysteriously died. This is the first of 4(?) movies that sees Peter unravelling the mystery of why his parents died and what his new found powers will lead him. But first he has to protect the city from The Lizard - a dangerous and powerful foe who seeks to turn everyone into lizards.
